Constitutional Amendment #1 for Education

Child jumping in road with mountains in background

THIS YEAR WE VOTE "YES" TO APPROVE THE ‘PERMANENT SCHOOL FUND’ FOR EARLY EDUCATION IN NM.

TO ACHIEVE THE HOPES, DREAMS, AND FUTURES WE HAVE BEEN WORKING SO HARD FOR.

The amendment invests in the education of New Mexico’s kids starting at birth. It will allocate about $125 million of already existing funds in the state’s Land Grant Permanent Education Fund each year to the Early Childhood Education and Care Department and another $75 million to the Public Education Department.

We have what we need as a state to provide quality education to our kids. The ballot initiative will be our opportunity to see our state’s resources put to use for all of us.

THE SINGLE GREATEST INVESTMENT WE CAN MAKE TO BUILD NEW MEXICO’S ECONOMY IS TO EDUCATE OUR CHILDREN.
